Four buildings surrounding a generous interior space constitute the final construction stage. The two buildings, contemplated on the first stage, define the interior space longitudinally. This space will be available for the rest of the neighborhood as a semi-public area. Hence, it is not a courtyard in the classical sense of block perimeter but a common area that’s part of a larger setting within the new construction. To activate this area the two housing buildings are accessed mainly from the interior space.

The two transversal office buildings, contemplated on the second/final construction stage, are oriented to and accessed from the street.

The two housing buildings will reinforce the neighborhood’s identity, which is currently defined by the free areas.

The staggered façade to the interior space enables spatially differentiated floor plans with different apartment sizes, and creates a very vivid expression for this semi-public community space.

In spite of the modulation the building volume stays compact, because apartments can be efficiently organized in greater widths.
