The proposed activated green belt on the perimeter embraces the site and creates a central open space, which flows into the adjacent free spaces. As a result the place develops a strong identity through the different structures of the public areas. In analogy to the garden city, the continuous green defines the main design element of the housing development, but different to the garden city a big traffic reduction is strived for.
The geometrical arrangement of the site in relation to the parcels, building orientation, circulation and private exterior spaces develops from the edges of the site, from the planted green belt. The exterior spaces are clearly determined and defined according to their different uses (circulation, front garden, private garden).
